Boris was a soldier’s Soldier.
At any given moment, you could find him reading an FM
or cleaning his machine gun in the turret of his humvee.
He was quiet, but never idle.
Purpose followed him.
He was respected by his peers,
trusted by his leaders,
and relied upon to accomplish the mission.
Loyal beyond most,
he was a fixture among men.
But Boris’ silence was more than personality.
It was a battle one no one saw,
and few would have known to look for.
The weight of living as expected,
while quietly losing ground inside.
Until there was nothing left to fight.
This mission is inspired by his fight.
